Dining with Donald Spring term April 7 – 28.

Wednesdays in April 6:15 – 7:15pm, 4 sessions only

Skill level: Easy to intermediate

Work with recipes focusing on a different basic meal each session. Maggie and Chef Donald lead you through making a fun, tasty, and simple meal each week! Put on your seatbelts… because there are culinary puppets included!

Ingredients needed for each session will be listed well before each session.

Donald Burton has worked as KindTree’s Friends & Family Camp lead chef for many years, earning the love and appreciation of everyone for his terrific meals, consistently earning top marks on our feedback forms. He recently retired from his long-time job as chef for one of the University of Oregon’s residential facilities. He has a great sense of humor, so this training should also be a lot of fun.

Recordings of all sessions will be available to all registered participants for 6 months.

WEDNESDAY COOKING  CLASS April 14th , 2021 6:15pm 

PASTA LIMONE

8 oz. extra wide rice noodles
2 leeks thinly sliced
4 garlic cloves (minced)
Zest and juice of one lemon (2 lemons total)
1 tsp kosher salt
3/4 tsp fresh black pepper (plus more at serving)
1/2 tsp crushed red chilies (dried)
2 tbs fresh basil pesto
1 cu shred parmesan cheese
1/4 cup either pine nuts or sliced almonds

TOSSED SALAD

1 small romaine head
1 medium carrot
Red Wine Vinegar
Balsamic Vinegar
Pepper and Salt
Olive Oil
Garlic Powder (Optional)

PEANUT BUTTER BITES

2/3 cups creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup old fashioned oats (gluten free)
1/2 cup unsweetened cranberries
2 tbs maple syrup or honey
