STiLE Jewelry and Art Card Show in Springfield @ Cascade Spiritual Life Center

Please come and check out the creations from STiLE Jewelry Expressions at the STiLE Jewelry Show, December 14, 2018, from 5-8 at the Cascade Spiritual Life Center, part of the Springfield Art Walk. 

 

Artists participating in the STiLE Jewelry Expressions training and art program with KindTree-Autism Rocks are featured at this holiday event. Unique hand-made beaded necklaces and bracelets will be available for purchase and over 100 art cards. Proceeds of each sale will go to the artists and Cascade Center.

Live music by John Keskinen, refreshments.

STiLE Jewelry Expressions: Make unique beaded jewelry. Individualized instruction provided to learn new techniques and patterns. Instructors will provide support in designing, marketing, production and selling your art. All supplies are provided.

Cascade Center for Spiritual Living is a transdenominational spiritual community that  honors all paths to the Divine and can help you experience a personal relationship with Spirit, by whatever name you call It. 4th Annual Holiday Ugly Sweater Contest! @ Mac's at the Vet's Club

KindTree-Autism Rocks is excited to invite you to attend our

4th Annual Holiday Ugly Sweater Contest & Dance Party!

Event includes an awesome Raffle and Live Music and SANTA is scheduled to arrive about 4:30!

Students enrolled in the KindTree-Autism Rocks STiLE program will be selling unique handmade beaded jewelry and ornaments. Come check it out!

When: Saturday, December 15, 2018, 3-6pm
Where: Mac’s at the Vets Club, 1626 Willamette St., Eugene, OR
Why: Raise money for camp scholarships, support KindTree-Autism Rocks, have fun, and enjoy a great afternoon of music and fellowship.

Rules: Contestants must come dressed in their sweater and officially enter the contest or wear a sweater that you can decorate at our holiday table. The sweater with the most votes wins. Voting tickets cost $1.00 each. Contestants are encouraged to get out the vote and prize winners will be posted on this website. If you don’t have a holiday sweater, there will be a sweater uglification table for you to doll up your otherwise overly tasteful one.

Social Skills Outing

The Lane County Chapter of the Autism Society of Oregon supports a Social Skills Class and Scheduled Social Outings on alternating months, in response to interest by participants in KindTree – Autism Rocks’ Support Group for adults on the autism spectrum. The classes and outings are designed for adults with high-functioning autism or Aspergers who can get around independently in the community.

During the Social Skills Class, conversation skills will be taught, role-modeled and practiced. The class is taught by Doris Germain, an Autism Specialist in the Linn-Benton School District. She has taught social skills at Autism Training and Support in Eugene. Her skill in teaching social skills has been learned from 20 years of working with people on the spectrum.

The Social Skills Class is taking place on the 3rd Monday of alternating months from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on 13th and Pearl in Eugene. The Social Skills Class will decide on the activity for the following month’s Social Outing. No support groups or social skills activities in August.

The Social Outing is taking place on alternating months on the third Friday evening of the month from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. or during the day on Saturday, depending on the activity chosen by the previous month’s Social Skills Class.
