On the Road to Adulthood – Panel Discussion @ Hilyard Community Center
Nov 16 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

The Autism Society of Oregon has scheduled a panel discussion at Hilyard Community Center from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, Nov 16, about Transition to Adulthood, featuring KindTree folks Alisa McLaughlin, Mary-Minn Sirag, Corey Coloma, Amber Perry and David Olson, and facilitated by Tobi Burch Rates. Parents, social workers, personal support workers, and people on the spectrum are all invited to attend and participate.  Learn about the community we all serve directly from the members of that community.

Alisa is a member of the KindTree Art Guild and editor of KindTree’s Newsletter “Reaching Out – Reaching In” along with Mary-Minn, KindTree’s former president. Corey is a member of KindTree’s Board of Directors and his own organization “Twainbow”. Amber has been a KindTree camper / volunteer for many years.

David Olson facilitates KindTree’s monthly Advocacy Group, Eugene A.V.O.I.C.E Advocacy Group: 3rd Friday of the month from 4:30 to 6 pm at LILA Peer Support Club, 990 Oak Street.

Tobi Burch Rates has been the Executive Director of the Autism Society of Oregon since October 2011. Prior to becoming Executive Director, she served on the Board of Directors for ASO as a volunteer.
