Accepted Volunteers will be notified for the Orientation Meetings on July 30th at 6pm and August 3rd at 2pm, 25 Owosso Dr, Eugene where we will provide some required training, meet everyone, and choose our crews and shifts. Join more than 95 volunteers and 150 guests as we all enjoy the beautiful Boy Scouts’ Baker Camp facility just a bit south of Florence Oregon, the company of your friends, and the opportunity to serve people on the autism spectrum, their families and caregivers. Crews include Kitchen (the best food ever), Dishwashing (so fun!), Activities (arts & crafts & campfires & games & more), Entertainment (talent show & karaoke & concerts), Registration (pre-event work & wheelbarrow wranglers & greeters & assistants), and Vibe (keeping everyone safe and happy). If you are a student looking for volunteer opportunities with people experiencing Intellectual Disabilities, or a professional looking to serve in more fun ways than doing paperwork behind a desk or screen, or just a person who loves helping, camping, and working together, this is a great opportunity to spend a long weekend enjoying the outdoors, the great food, and working a total of just 12 hours or so.
